Artist Statement

Ann B. Murphy is inspired by solo journeys beyond the studio, interior quests and imaginary friends. Real life and envisioned events drive her process and inhabit her drawings, paintings and sculpture. She works primarily with paper, a medium which is closely connected to her devotion to reading and writing. She lives and works in the Hudson Valley.
